Pros
Was lucky enough to work with a great group of people. Never work nights, they're not open that late. Once I moved up within the store I experienced more freedom and say in things (as well as added responsibility).
Cons
It's retail. But extremely specialized knowledge is needed. Takes a long time to feel comfortable. At a more industrial focused location it can be a quite physically exhausting job. Though you don't work nights, tend to work rather long shifts, much of which might be alone or only with one other person. If it's busy, there are no breaks, no lunch. Just have to eat when you can. Winter months can be the opposite, can go hours without seeing anyone and have really nothing to do (which can be good or bad depending on your view). Have to work ~10 hour weekend days regularly. Cold calls.
