Pros

Comparatively good pay. Depending on store the staff can work as a team and get along well. Good vacation time.

Cons

Corporate micromanaging, division wide blanket sales drives with no consideration to rural or regions of stores (e.g. Required to make 60 calls a week out of all stores, however some rural stores only had 27 accounts on their 60 calls a week list). The constant promotions to grow the DIY sector are causing rifts over pricing with contractors. Long hours which are a drain on the back page for profit and yet store held accountable to keeping expenses down.

Pros

Leadership training, flexible schedule if your store has the necessary staffing, 401k match

Cons

If you don't have staffing then you are required to work weekends consistently, Sales calls requirements keep getting higher and higher, incompetent corporate leadership. Pay is based on 44 hours worked weekly for assistants(48 for Store managers; leaves room for less work/life balance
