Pros

Engaged Executives: One thing I’ve always admired about Shield AI is how our executives stay connected and hands-on with the team. It creates a sense of transparency and trust that’s truly refreshing. Exceptional Colleagues: Working here has been a privilege because of the brilliant and dedicated people I get to collaborate with every day. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such talent. Veteran Presence: I appreciate that Shield AI values veterans and actively seeks to include them in our workforce. Their unique perspectives add depth to our company culture.

Cons

At a company of this caliber, achieving the desired results demands dedication and hard work, requiring a significant investment of time. Yet, the ultimate rewards are immensely gratifying.

Pros

A majority of the company is filled with good-willed, nice, curious people across AI, aviation, geospatial, engineering and instructional spaces.

Cons

Too many of the operational decisions are made by sof guys with virtually zero experience in any of the fields relevant to the company...including strategic operations or even tactical isr. Too many has-beens used to working with no oversight. Money and equipment constantly disappearing. The company is like a toddler walking around in their parents clothes. Poor scaling. Almost non-existent safety considerations. Prior service in corporate is always something that needs to be addressed but the amount of sof guys this company employees just so they can put "elite" in every tagline is ridiculous. They complain constantly just to freeze or meltdown in the lightest stressful situations. Virtually unteachable so they are removed and elevated into positions that avoid that dynamic. We can't get people to stop being vindictive bigots every time they are corrected or called out for lying in a meeting to save our lives but we sure will platform the latest self-help garbage from some other hack of a seal because so-in-so met him once or likes his podcast.
