1. No expectation of overtime, most people in department worked normal hours or less 2. Flexible working arrangements, a lot of managers are females with children working part time 3. Great marketing team producing quality content that makes the company look so much better then they really are 4. People are generally ok and helpful 5. Some high profile clients 6. Good training for interns
Cons
1. Quality of accounting work is poor, most jobs are sent offshore to recover on wip, slow turnaround 2. No clear process or procedure for staff to follow 3. No quality assurance or effective review mechanisms in place, compliance issues often ignored and swept under the rug because “we have always done it this way” 4. 10 years behind in technology and unwilling to change 5. Staff are pigeonholed in their departments that operate in silos, no exposure to concepts outside of their responsibilities, little professional development outside of standard training 6. No psychological safety - staff never speak up because managers and partners don’t listen or care about issues on the ground, let alone fix it. Issues ignored and swept under the rug, causing frustration at all levels of staff. 7. Other than in tax department, partners and managers do not seem to be very knowledgeable. 7. With few exceptions, partners and directors have never worked anywhere else, lack perspective, vision, leadership and communication skills or energy. 8. Unrealistic productivity targets for junior to senior level and promotions based purely on achieving this. Staff can’t be productive without clear process, using outdated software and tools! 9. Chinese owned
