Growing Pains make you stronger - Director of Sales Shore Employee Review

Pros

Opportunity to grow when you own the position you're in. The software is constantly being improved. A lot of new processes have helped turn the company around during a hard time. Opportunity to prove yourself and make a difference. It saddens to me read some of the bad reviews on here because I know everyone that's ever worked here, and their comments are not representative to who they are, or at least who I thought they were. We are currently under new management and we have never been in better shape.

Cons

Dealing with old management setbacks. Being influenced by the old decisions management made that don't represent the current environment of the company as a whole.

Pros

-Coworkers are really nice -Most people are in their mid to late 20s

Cons

Inferior product: There are other softwares that cost significantly less AND have twice the capabilities than the Shore software. Good luck trying to sell it. You will be fighting tooth and nail for every sale and constantly trying to save customers who want to cancel because they found a better solution. Pay: 35K or 45K DOE. The OTE is grossly overestimated. Significantly less when compared to other SaaS companies in Silicon Beach. Work life: In sales, you will work at least 6 days and 60-80 Hours a week. You will work almost every weekend and have little to do no days off. I can't imagine working here and having a family. Terrible Management: Churn and burn for C level. Nobody wants to stick around and fix the mess the Co-Founder created. Constant Layoffs: Every couple of months they fire a handful of people. No one is safe! The company started off with 300+ employees and now is down about 50 if not less.
