Pros

- Exposure to interesting projects and clients across sectors. - Some colleagues are genuinely supportive and collaborative.

Cons

- The work environment is highly micromanaged, especially when working under a certain Associate Partner. Autonomy is minimal, and decision-making is often second-guessed. - There is little regard for work-life balance. Long hours and weekend work are the norm, with limited flexibility and appreciation. - The culture feels performative rather than genuinely people-centric. Feedback is not always welcome

Pros

You can work remotely frequently

Cons

Shortlist suffers from poor management and disconnected leadership team. Leadership does not share or convey their vision, and it’s hard to know what direction the company is taking. They also are unfocused and change strategy constantly. They privilege senior hires who get paid in usd vs local currency, and often meet amongst themselves but not with more junior staff. Very little support for growth beyond a paltry “learning and development budget” that lets you buy some books. No proper HR, problems go unaddressed and whatever senior people want to do to you they can get.
