If you are in the "Internet Operations" side of the company, the work can be challenging, exhausting and stressful. - Datacenter Technician Shutterfly Employee Review

Pros

Compensation is right in range with other companies and the room for growth is high, but that is if you have the potential. I have learned quite a bit in my time here already. There is an enjoyable environment in the office (but combined with stress).

Cons

For the department I work in, there is an extremely high churn rate (leaving after a few months). Some people just aren't cut out for this job. This puts even more stress on our already understaffed crew. Work-life balance is difficult at times. There can be too many large projects going on simultaneously. Also, I loved Treat.com... but I could understand they would get rid of the service if they were integrating it into one of their other brands or it just wasn't profiting.

Pros

I work with diverse and supportive people. Teams and leaders demonstrate the will to respond to worker needs with kindness and respect. On the operational level, teams are highly flexible and adapt quickly to changes when provided proper support. Work-life balance is high priority for the people I interact with.

Cons

The company has difficulty holding on to talent in tech fields since a good chunk of the focus has to be allocated to art/design and production instead. CEOs come and go every few years, leading to instability. For some teams, the process remains overly complex and inefficient because of misalignments between leadership/engineering and ops team users. No formal humanist policy around AI & robotics yet.
