Poor management of the company from upper head office due to the fact they had two employees, running their entire company. Management in store was left to one individual for months before the store shut down. CCTV was watched permanently and employees would get told off for simple things such as making their own drink. Who has heard of a barista that is not allowed a drink on shift? Little benefits, the discounts you did get were the same ones the staff next door at the Chinese restaurant got, not to mention we did not get any discounts at their restaurant. This included 5 hours game time and 50% off bubble tea and instant noodles. There are no management left in the company since they all got made redundant, how can the busy branch in Chinatown still run without a manager? Work hours are flexible, however favouritism is very real here. Chinese employees were always prioritised. Little to no progression in roles are possible here as they are on an extremely strict budget model. Pay is minimum wage.
