If you're looking for a position that will mentally, professionally & FINANCIALLY abuse you... if you want zero time with family & friends, this is it!! Promoted as a marketing position with rapid climb to management but is actually door to door sales of Verizon fios. Pay is commission on sales only, no base rate. Dropped off alone in sketchy neighborhoods, no matter the weather, with no safety plan until 8-9p. Worked there for 4 months without a day off, made 800$. Sometimes didn't receive pay for 2weeks to 2 months. Expected to attend " leadership" meetings, until 10-11pm after walking streets until 8-9p. Attending " Fun "nights, though not mandatory & at my expense , are strongly expected... but not attending results in public shaming at meetings. ANY other obligations including classes are deemed not important & expect harassment to drop them. Soliciter permits are purchased by door to door employees but the receipts are demanded by the President so he can either receive reimbursement or use as a write off. There is no compensation/reimbursement for gas, milage, permits etc., including road trips, which are door to door sales just in another state. Lodging is paid for but is seedy motels. There is no actual management training & those promoted still required to do door to door sales. The office atmosphere is made to be fun but is actually cult like propaganda. Nothing but a pyramid scheme/scam that preys on the young & naive. They will hire anyone that interviews unless you decline. Rapid turn around of employees. No long term, seasoned employees with real management experience.
