Good Team, Fulfilling Work, Very Stable - Software Engineer SignUpGenius Employee Review

The SignUpGenius and Lumaverse team have been nothing but friendly, flexible and understanding while I evolve as a developer. They've provided access to Udemy and bought courses that have helped strengthen my skillets. As mentioned in other reviews, the entire Lumaverse company has an excellent mission and we reflect on that each month in our meetings. There's lots of freedom to operate on your own with little micromanagement and only as much supervision as you need.

No negatives are worth mentioning. It's an older stack but we're modernizing it and new projects are being built with a modern stack.

I've enjoyed working in my role as a Team Lead and Senior Developer at SignupGenius for the past four years. The company puts as much value in its employees as they do their customers. They promote a healthy work-life balance for all staff and offer lots of opportunities for growth and recognition. While in recent years the company has transitioned to primarily remote working, we have maintained our fun, community culture, even during the pandemic. There are always special events and activities to participate in throughout each year. The company also promotes and supports outside philanthropic activities and community involvement. They incentivize staff to donate to charities and participate in local community events. SignUpGenius is also very serious about providing internal and external training opportunities for their staff and strive to growth their staff in their career goals. The teams all work well together, and often operate like small family units. Co-workers will work together to brainstorm on new projects and product features, and work together to meet deadlines as they arise. Overall, I have been very happy with my employment at SignUpGenius and look forward to a long career with the company.

The company has a wide technology stack that isn't always up to date. This can sometimes be frustrating, especially to newcomers. However, the company is aware of this and has long term plans in place to simply and modernize technology across the board. Overall, this is a very minor concern.
