Pros

Ability to work from home is great. The people at Signant are great, the ones who are putting in the work. They really do have a talented team there. The products and offerings are top notch and it’s a company you can be proud to work for.

Cons

If you’re looking for real insight into this company, here it is. Leadership varies significantly across departments. Teams like Marketing, Commercial, Science & Medicine, Product, and Technology generally have capable leaders, some better than others. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Operations and HR, where leadership is consistently poor. Micromanagement is baked into the culture at every level. Tools like ActivTrak are positioned as productivity enhancers, but the reality is they’re used to monitor and control. That alone speaks volumes. Operations has been hit particularly hard, with much of the work offshored to low-cost regions. Those who remain especially in higher-cost areas are overburdened, underpaid, and constantly navigating shifting priorities and unrealistic expectations. Despite this, many in Ops are strong performers who deserve better. If competitors are smart, they’ll be targeting this group. As for HR leadership: ineffective is putting it mildly. A tight-knit leadership team with little industry experience makes key decisions in a vacuum, often without understanding the actual impact on employees. Feedback isn’t welcomed, and autonomy is non-existent. The company is clearly preparing for a sale. Cost-cutting is rampant, long-tenured employees are being let go, and growth opportunities are essentially nonexistent. Raises are minimal at best, and morale is low. To those still there: maximize your bonus potential, then start exploring your options. And to any potential acquirers, these reviews are worth a close read. There’s more beneath the surface than you’ll hear in a business presentation.

Pros

Flexible work hours and ample time off. This is a company that has done its best to drive financial performance and keep its workforce through COVID and now the latest geopolitical headwinds. I really like the people I work with, and what we're able to produce.

Cons

Like any job there can periods of high stress and pressure. But it does feel like management is trying in earnest to steer the ship in a way that works out best for employees.

Pros

The people and some clients.

Cons

Management, software, exec suite. To many cons to begin. The good people have or are trying to get out. They have lost all the legacy knowledge and said with no room for interpretation that they absolutely do not value legacy knowledge or experience. Constant reorganizing and line managers that have no idea how to do even the basic daily ops task means you are left to figure it out. Reorganization without notice multiple times have left huge wholes in daily deliverables with no coverage and project managers were expected to just pick up this work after being told for over a year that we should not do any project specialist level work. They also regularly withhold information from their clients and place all the blame on their ops teams. Truly if this company doesnt go public soon or someone else doesnt take over and right this its a sinking ship.
