They did get me a contract position near my hometown.

This is a scam of a company marketing themselves as an ethical safety services company. Take your professional skills elsewhere. No effort was made to find a second opportunity and when I asked what they had available their response was “go on unemployment till we find something” They are looking to get paid off of your hard work and dedication, with little regard for your investment and well being. Worked with a couple third party contract companies, with some being a very pleasant experience, this is by far the worst one.
