      Pros

      Swiss company with a high company governance profile. Products with extremely high technical quality. Decentralized management helps the company to have a faster decision model.

      Cons

      The company is in a change management process based on the possibility of being acquired by Saint Gobain (discussions ongoing in Switzerland Court). Besides this, the current economy environment in Brazil generates higher stress in local operations due to a lower sales volume and a low profitability.

As you mentioned we adopt a decentralized management structure, which we feel empowers local management teams to make strategic decisions based on their local markets. The overall goal of all of our Sika subsidiaries is to achieve the targets set out in our Strategy 2018, whilst being able to quickly adapt to the local environment. We continue to invest in the Latin America region and during the last financial year we saw a growth of 9.5%. Thank you to you and all of your colleagues who helped to make this possible.

      Pros

      -People here are great, I made friendships that go beyond the job. -The benefits are pretty good, employee contributions are on the lower end. I also appreciate the PTO day for community service and the fitness reimbursement plan. -I love the employee events like birthday treats (when they still had them) and the holiday party

      Cons

      -There is little to no internal promotion opportunities anymore. When roles have opened up, they have gone to external candidates, or they bring someone in from the location in Europe. -Patchy communications from corporate, as well as corporate boasting the record-breaking profits on the internet, and then our bonuses would get cut - left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. -Salaries are pretty frugal -Senior management seem to be in a micromanagement mindset and caring about the wrong things -HR and management have made some bad choices when it comes to employees lately that I don't agree with
