Pros

Extraordinary service to its clients, diversified in all medical specialties and services.

Cons

This is a great company and there is very little if anything to report as a con, other than stagnant growth due to competing with outsourcing.

Pros

The owner leaves you alone. It was great not to be micromanaged. Employee status. Hospitals in same general vicinity, NY and NJ. Pay always on time.

Cons

Low pay that you can't compare with other companies because it is by the page. Owner is a bit of an authoritarian when she does contact you and is not always honest. Rules changing retroactively. An insane number of company-specific abbreviations for labs. Premiums for health insurance were so high that I qualified for an Obamacare exception. Being shorted on lines every chance they got and telling us to go through reports and remove blank lines before turning it in, even though it made the report way less legible and incorrectly formatted, including only leaving one single line for a signature. Or they would go in and do this for you and dock your page count.

Pros

Paid holidays are awesome! No weekends for the account I've been working on (which I always had to do until this company). The amount of PTO is good.

Cons

I have been with the company for 4 years this year, and when I trained I was told in person by the CEO that there was plenty of work. Not long after starting, I ran out of work. I was informed that it was because the doctors take a lot of religious holidays and that the work would pick back up soon. It eventually did, but it happens frequently. The problem only got worse with longer periods without consistent work throughout the year. When I approached management about it (several times), I was told simply to flex my time and wait. Management does not care about their employees at all. There is absolutely no communication unless it's negative, meaning that they only contact you if you've done something wrong. The management is also pretty demeaning to their employees. There is no real organization within the company itself either. All communications from MTs go through one person. PTO is great, but the process of earning and spending it is a mess. Account specifics are contradictory, and company templates are covered in errors as well as management e-mails (which the MTs would be reprimanded for). Medical insurance is completely unaffordable.
