      Pros

      they do well making you feeling valued when they can get something out of it.

      Cons

      Job security, upper management will gossip about other employees, there is no real training. When you don't understand something they offer no support to learn the process. They show preference to their friends, and only allow vendors that the partners get 'kick backs' from. They run maintenance super thin and don't understand why so many of their employees suffer burnout. They switch out managers/maintenance so often they never learn their properties the residents see the revolving door or they promote people that aren't ready.

I am sorry you feel you did not receive the training you needed to be successful and we will take this into consideration and be sure to be available for any questions that arise with different processes. This particular industry tends to have a high turnover but we do strive to retain our employees and help them to grow. Thank you for the insight into our promotion process as well.

      Pros

      In my experience working with Silva Markham has been positive in many ways. The culture with this company is very helpful and close. I feel supported by corporate office from accounting to compliance to office manager & regional manager. Silva Markham has been a wonderful opportunity for me advancing from leasing agent to property manager. Silva Markham does not micro manage and allows you to work the best way that works for you while still having values and standards within our company.

      Cons

      There has been a lot of changes in the property management industry and sometimes those changes do not get communicated clearly, but anytime I am ever in doubt I have many people I can reach out to and ask for guidance on best practices and how to handle changes.
