Simpson has a warm, welcoming culture where everyone is friendly and approachable. Meetings leave room for personal connection, making it easy to build rapport and strong relationships from the start.
Cons
As a new hire, I haven’t seen many downsides yet. For those on an hourly contract, vacation time accrues slowly, about half a day per month if you work 40 hours a week, so it can take a while to build enough for extended time off.

Cons
The company is unionized, so there are many roadblocks to implementing processes and holding people accountable.
When you speak up about gaps, you get crucified and into trouble.
Production lags with new management.
Training lacks pretty bad
The culture has changed over the years; no one cared about Barc's nine principles. That is what people use to say that there is nothing wrong with the company—not true.
ISO documentation is lacking; I don't know how we pass.
It is hard to promote yourself in a specific role or in other roles. All office positions are hybrid, which means that work-life balance is good.
lean is lacking, but then again there's no accountability.
