Pros

The company is small enough and young enough to where my work has a direct impact on the business. I love the feeling I have of making real, meaningful contributions. I feel very involved in the growth and success of the company. The people are nice and friendly and I feel comfortable going to my manager or HR with any questions/problems. Also, a real effort is made around culture. There are company and team events, happy hours, query hours, good benefits, catered lunch and dinner, etc. Also, there is a real effort towards diversity and inclusion with regular diversity meetings and initiatives. I like that even though it is a fast-paced startup, they don't expect you to live and breath the work and respect the work-life balance (at least that's what I've experienced on my team!).

Cons

Focus on creating a culture where employees feel respected, supported, and valued. Take employee feedback seriously and hold managers and team leads accountable for how they interact with their teams. When employees raise concerns or ask for support, ensure those issues are addressed with meaningful action rather than being overlooked. Better communication, transparency, and leadership accountability would help build trust, improve morale, and strengthen employee retention.
