Pros

- corporate structure (if you like it, you like it) - flexible time arrangement; work-life balance if you can arrange time properly - individualistic, compared to team play in other companies - clear promotion criteria

Cons

- GSM and managers sell the dream, however, they were only able to tell you their past glorious history when they were in the banks 5-10 years back. Mind you, chapter 2 is mainly hiring people from the banks. The management do not have knowledge on insurance products, probably only endowments. They constantly need us to share with them the products and update them on the ground. They are not in sync with the ground - Industry has pretty much changed and targets were unrealistic especially if you are hired in as PRC. - With the merger with Singlife-Aviva, Singlife distributed the main focus product of CareShield to AIA as well. The direct sales team, aka, Affinity, is left with not much products to sell - personal opinion - seemed like Singlife is eliminating the direct sales team - Pretty much behaves like start-ups, information are all over, not shared among various managers and varies based on your GSM(s) - Despite the Singlife merger with Aviva, Singlife app distributes it's products to AFA instead of its own direct sales team - pretty much says about its visionary from here - There were unfair selection criteria for special campaigns ; Claimed to be based on performance, but in fact each campaign manager tend to slot their own members in - such as hospital campaigns- people are obviously not performing but were in the campaign either ways ; Also, some campaign managers channelled specific successful leads to their own team to ensure consistent performance - Claimed that each relationship consultant can only be in one campaign, but they slot the top performers in multiple campaigns - GSM and managers don't walk the talk. - Held numerous Zoom/ Web call to share sales pitch by the top performers to help the rest of the consultants, but whenever such calls are held "top performers" are always unavailable or on MC - System is constantly down since early 2021, we are in 2022 already and there's still multiple system errors that reflects badly on us to the clients. (efna error, sqs error, srm down....) - Constantly out of leads - salary benchmarking only started late 2021 - underpaid compared to most peers if you were promoted on the job. - Singlife has been cutting down on benefits - leave, flexible benefits etc
