Pros
Good uniform allowance, great restaurant discount, multi-cultural working environment, phenomenal office interior, flat hierarchy, fancy job title for almost everyone
Cons
This company is a hot mess and I wish there were some Glassdoor reviews before I joined.
It is a 10 y/o company with a team size under 40, but it runs like a start up with 3 people.
There are some essential functions of the business are not support by qualified professionals. For instance, there is no logistic / merchandising/ HR team, all these are absolutely necessary for the company but the corresponding workload are shared by random team members across the business. No one can focus on their job as there are too many distractions.
The CEO has no respect for his team, meetings can be delayed for hours without a single apology or even an explanation. There are also no work life balance, CEO likes exploit employees by arranging meeting out of office hours, message his team on a Sunday 9pm (or anytime he likes). Most of the people are too scared to say anything or stand up to him.
Sister Jane produces 8 collections in a year and the range is huge (over100 styles!). Everyone is so exhausted. It is almost impossible to ask for holidays as the schedule is so tight, even a couple of days off would be a struggle.
The staff turnover is extremely high for the obvious reason.
If you are looking to join Sister Jane I would suggest you not to as there are so many other opportunities outside that are far better than here and you don’t need to waste your talent in this small pond
