Pros

Talented people who deserve better leadership.

Cons

Groundhog Day leadership. A steady influx of new executives with limited experience in this market, retreading old ground and revisiting foundations that were already solid. Same strategy, new slideware. CEO narcissism. Excessive focus on personal storytelling rather than the business. It’s distracting and, frankly, cringe. Private equity influence is obvious but never acknowledged. It’s unclear whether decisions are being made for customers, employees, or the board. Product innovation has stalled. The lack of meaningful customer growth and ongoing churn issues reflect this reality. Heavy AI washing. “Agents” are largely dressed-up chat interfaces that don’t materially help users get work done inside the products. It’s hard not to ask whether customers were meaningfully consulted at all.

Pros

The culture at Sitecore is one of the biggest reasons I enjoy working here. People are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely want to see each other succeed. Every win, whether it's a major milestone or a small accomplishment, is recognized and celebrated, which makes the work feel meaningful and keeps everyone motivated. Leadership is another standout. Managers and senior leaders are approachable, willing to help, and always make time to answer questions or provide guidance. It never feels like you're on your own, and there's a real focus on helping employees grow and be successful. Overall, it's a positive environment where people care about each other, teamwork is valued, and your contributions are appreciated.

Cons

As a growing global company, priorities can shift from time to time, so being adaptable is important. The upside is that there are always new challenges and opportunities to make an impact.

Pros

Sitecore offers a genuinely strong and innovative product platform. It remains one of the most powerful and flexible digital experience solutions on the market, with deep personalization capabilities, robust omnichannel support, and a composable architecture that many competitors still struggle to match.

Cons

Sitecore is hampered by a deeply dysfunctional and poorly managed organization, with leadership that remains strikingly disconnected from the markets and customers it serves. Compounding this is a serious talent and culture problem. These issues visibly leak into the market, inflicting reputational damage that is difficult to repair. Turning around the culture of an organization like Sitecore is notoriously challenging. The company now finds itself in a precarious position: its poor reviews and damaged reputation make it extremely difficult to attract high-quality talent. As a result, only mediocre candidates are hired and retained, which continuously reinforces, exacerbates, and compounds the existing problems. Some observers describe this as a death spiral — a self-reinforcing decline that will be exceptionally hard to reverse, especially when compared to its stronger, more competitive peers
