Pros

Some good team members that want the company to succeed. Company has potential if management is completely replaced. The idea isn't horrible but Sixup doesn't have the people in place needed to execute the idea.

Cons

Culture: This company has no culture. People hate each other, are pitted against one another, and there's a lack of harmony. Most people are job hunting. Turnover is very high. If you're interviewing here, ask people how long they've been there. Very few have stayed over one year. The best word to describe Sixup would be awful. Executive team: Ego-centric, incompetent, dictatorial, not collaborative, extremely selfish, definition of narcissists. Take no accountability, hypocrites, expect things from others that they don't do themselves. Faux mission driven, they use it to attract investors and speak at conferences but all they care about is making money. These people also lack experience in finance and technology and it shows in every conversation. This company will never succeed with them in place. Nobody likes the executive team but are scared to share how they feel about anything in the office as they have proven to be very vindictive. Mission: They sell a mission, but it's a lie. They don't care about "creating positive outcomes" for students, they just want to sell high interest rate loans and hope in 5 years that some people pay them off (or that they have sold off the company by then and are rich while others are stuck with bad debt.) Hiring: Hires are made and no one knows why these people were hired. Management makes up needs and doesn't care if others believe the need isn't there. Hires are not cohesive and it leads to a fractured company. Business: The volume of business is very low especially when considering the size of the company. Investors, beware.

Pros

-Great mission of wanting to help students go to college. -There are/were a lot of smart, passionate, and awesome people at Sixup that genuinely believe in the mission.

Cons

The company is ran by some pretty terrible people. They tend to lie to people to get them in the door promising things like salary bumps, control, or stock options in the 'near' future. And one you get suckered into joining, you will eventually come to understand why Sixup has such awful reviews. Management does not respect their fellow employees nor do they value their work. Trying to get your opinions across to management, even if you know better on whatever the topic may be, is like try to move a mountain. Not to mention there's a good chance you'll get yelled at in the process. They are just not reasonable nor logical people and will make choices that makes zero sense. For all of these reasons and more, I left Sixup and adding myself to their insane turn over rate. A word to the wise - unless all of management is replaced, you should just look elsewhere even if are desperate for a new job, it's just not worth it.
