Pros
I came across Skell while I was searching for job openings, and I the first thing that caught my eye was their unique product. I also had never worked for a smaller company before, and the prospect of working in more intimate setting was appealing to me. I decided to apply to work here, and after a quick and thorough interview process, they had me on the schedule. The initial adjustment period was a bit rough for me. The work environment was fast, and I needed to work extra hard to stay on top of my assignments. Besides the difficulties I had learning how to work at a faster pace than I was used to, I was having a ton of fun collaborating with my teammates and finally working on interesting, challenging projects. Management actually knew what they were doing, and they’d give me helpful feedback. The compensation and benefits were also excellent. I was putting more effort into my work than I had before, and my paycheck certainly reflected that. I was also given bonuses on several occasions for my good performance.
Cons
Personal circumstances led me to move out of the LA area, and there’s no way I’d be able to make the commute every day. If I had a way to work for them remotely, I would still be working here today.
