No clear career paths No personal growth No task priorities Micromanagement for almost everyone Politics are huge No clear tech direction, no real tech innovations. Rush to implement new features, no real user research so no idea if the features are actually used/wanted from users. Recently employees were told that return to office for 2 days/week is mandatory, with almost no official guidelines from HR, probably in an effort to force people to quit. Also, a lot of firing based on "performance" excuses or lack of motivation and energy with no warning of improvement plan. Be cautious of recent positive reviews here. Don't trust anything you read or hear regarding company culture on articles, interviews or podcast. Not human-centric culture as HR promotes. Politics are the biggest factor for promotions, if middle management likes you, then you are good. Toxic environment with no trust for people to do their jobs. Incompetent people in management positions neither help their direct reports grow or help the technology or product get better, depending on their role. Low GMV means that everything is desperately trying to be monetized, even their relationship with the partners (shops).
