The staff are amazing and the management is the best I’ve ever seen

This was one of the best batch of coworkers I have ever had! Everyone likes what they do and their coworkers and even spend time together outside work. Everyone was incredibly helpful and I learned so much about nurseries/gardening just by getting to know my peers.

No one in management actually seems to know how to manage people, especially not those highest up. They often act in a retaliatory way instead of being professional adults and communicating with you about how you could improve (or, dare I say, how they could be better, too). You have to tiptoe around certain people if you want to keep your job. When employees leave, a replacement isn't often hired, leaving current employees to do more work for no more pay. I generally enjoyed my time at Sky, but a combination of a manager who didn't care about their employees, bad benefits, low pay for the area, and no opportunity for growth....management has a lot of growing to do if they want truly happy employees - happy employees do better work.
