Pros

If you are a security professional who enjoys burnout AND being tasked to secure a SaaS offering with no budget, no training, and little top-down support while reporting to non-security management deep within an engineering org who does not understand security, then this job is for you.

Cons

If you want to work for a company that prioritizes security and takes it seriously, then this may not be the job for you.

Smarsh continues to be in a high growth mode and although that comes with change, we remain anchored in our core values: People First, Inspire Confidence and Embrace the Impossible. However, we’re disappointed we didn't get the chance to work with you during your time at Smarsh to improve your experience in a meaningful way. We believe we have a culture that prioritizes and values security. In fact, over the last year we have grown our InfoSec team by 40%, including the addition of new roles within the team. If you are open to it, we would really appreciate hearing any additional details or suggestions you have for improvement. Please contact me or your HR Business Partner if you would like to continue the conversation, we will listen. At Smarsh, continuous feedback and improvement are core to our ability to succeed.

Pros

Decent product, and global market penetration.

Cons

Mergers have been devastating for staff and morale - I saw three in my tenure. Merit does not seem to matter. When new management comes in, everyone is axed.
