Pros

Some truly wonderful people to work with. Love looking at beautiful furniture all day.

Cons

Small paycheck for the long hours and amount of work there is. Demanding management, clashing management personalities cause inter-departmental pushback and tension between and within teams. Gaslighting and bullying and finger pointing does not foster a healthy work environment. They need to hire more people in each department, but they won't. They also need to provide employees with the tools that can help them succeed in their roles (stop giving hand-me-down Dell tombstone laptops from 5+ years ago).

Pros

SmartFurniture has a culture that is unparallelled. Really. We don't micro-manage, we bring pets to work, coworkers are forgiving, flexible and they have your back. We always have liquor on hand, bar sports in house, and a free drink machine to help ease lunchless day stress. Our CEO or any manager will talk you through any difficult scenario and everyone is a decision maker to a client or partner.

Cons

We don't have fancy titles, paychecks, or parking spots. You have to do your own dishes and clean the microwave yourself, nobody pampers you. If you were a C student in college you probably won't make it here. If you don't know what cache is or how to clear it you will be made fun of. You have to work more than 40 hours a week or you're a slacker. Oh, and it can be a roller coaster working for a small venture backed firm. Hold on tight!
