Pros
Do not need to commit to regular work.
Cons
Failed to find me any work for weeks despite assuring me that there were plenty of jobs. The first job they offered me was at an SEN school. I accepted it, though I was rather nervous since I've had very little experience working in this field. I expressed my concerns to Smart Teachers and tried to seek advice about teaching children with SEN and this was their response: 'be as proactive as possible, remain patient, and work with other TA's'. This advice is NOT good enough and it certainly did not help when I was being attacked by one of the students. By no means am I blaming the student or the school for this incident, but I am very disappointed with Smart Teachers for failing to provide me with the advice and training necessary for diffusing problematic situations like this. They should have known (based on my profile) that I required training/guidance prior to working at an SEN school. Overall, Smart Teachers have done very little to find me a job suited to my profile and the support that they have given me is completely inadequate.
