Pros

There is generally flexibility in working hours. For most weeks, I was able to finish by normal office hours unless there was an urgent project. Colleagues are supportive and cooperative; the team culture leans more collaborative than competitive. Work environment is decent: safety standards are taken seriously, and management does provide resources when needed. During non-peak periods, there’s a good amount of buffer time which helps maintain personal time and reduces stress.

Cons

During high-pressure phases (tight deadlines, urgent maintenance / emergency work), overtime becomes common, and it’s harder to leave on time. Some tasks / roles expect availability beyond office hours, which disrupts personal plans occasionally. Career development opportunities are limited; though workload is manageable most of the time, learning new skills or getting promoted can be slower. Pay & benefits are okay but could be more competitive, especially given the nature of shift/emergency work.

Pros

Collaborative work environment with supportive colleagues. Plenty of opportunities to learn and grow professionally. Management is approachable and encourages feedback. Exposure to interesting and challenging projects.

Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult due to high workloads and tight deadlines. Communication between teams or departments could be more streamlined. Limited recognition or appreciation for extra effort.
