We are committed to building a world-class software team. In terms of priorities, we encourage engineers to share feedback on their workloads in 1:1s. We invite them to propose priorities for sprints based on their observations of the code. To address technical debt, we have "Fix it Friday". Engineers can work on what they want that day, including refactoring. To keep improving our team's skills, we invest in technical mentorship via Plato and dev courses via Platzi. We run leadership programs, book clubs, and wellness events. We also run a team survey every quarter, and take immediate action on feedback.
That said, we are always improving. We will take your feedback into account as we continue making improvements in 2022.
