Pros
There are some really great people working at the County that want to do their job, serve the public, and be efficient. Typically it’s a very healthy working environment, and there are opportunities for growth. There’s also a good amount of job security that comes with working there.
Cons
The politics can grind any type of meaningful progress to an absolute halt. Also, while there are opportunities for growth, job positions tend to open fairly rarely outside of a few regular ones like the Sheriff’s office and engineers. Also, the different departments are incredibly siloed.
