Pros
You will not do your career a favour by joining here.
Cons
I am leaving this review as I do not want anyone to join this company and affect your career. 1. Super High Turnover The company has been established since 2006 and it is still trying to hire from zero. There is only 1 HR who has worked for more than 5 years and the business development team is made up of new joiners who only started joining in Aug 2023. 2. Egoistic Management + Gaslighting Culture I believe this is based on the founder and executive director's egoistic management style of just seeing people as 'tools' to help them generate money. They want to sell their Mindful Leadership courses corporates and when I interviewed, they told me that they have leading experts in this area. Guess what I found out after joining, they have NIL business idea or product developed. They set super high target for me even though no product, as they just wanted me to start selling without any product and just help them get corporates' feedback. The leading expert they claimed is just a freelance trainer they engaged and the company told me to just 'sell air' to the clients by saying "oh, our programs are customisable based on client's needs, so we want to understand what you want". However, if your performance is not good, they will just say bye bye without reflecting that it's their issue. When you question them and share that you can't sell without a proper product, they will gaslight you and say it's your mindset for not seeing yourself successful. 3. Non-transparent Direction + Opaque Modus Operandi The organisation claims that it is a not-for-profit which empower communities and creates social impact. However, the founder's objective is clear, she wants money. The leadership courses are not cheap and they try to earn other income from seniors with 700 dollar courses while on the pretext that they are helping the elderly in the community. The management always create Giants-In-Conversations events targeted at congregating lots of high networth individuals in one room. The events are full of inspiring speakers but the management's agenda behind it leaves much to be desired. They told us to network with these unknowing high networth invitees and sell our courses to them after the event. Most of these guests are bewildered as they were just looking to relax and learn something. But this is the way the management operates, putting up a nice front and hiding the fact that they are out of profit. When you ask who are the beneficiaries that they are exactly impacting, they just bring up a SINGLE example from 10 OR 15 years of having helped out some vulnerable communities to set up their microbusiness. But other than that, they do not have any track record of sincerely helping people. 3. Lunch hour meeting + micromanage time While the management is very disorganised, they micromanage your time on the pretext that efficiency is key. When i wanted to hold a team meeting, the exec director mentioned that we should do it over lunch. And guess what, the founder popped by later that week abt 11.30am after having a full late breakfast herself and held us up until 2.30pm before we cld go for lunch, even though the food was packed before that.
