Job security was number one along with good benefits and health insurance. You must always remember in this job, you work for the public you serve and should treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.
Cons
There was never enough people to do the volume of work you are required to handle. This would lead to stress which in turn caused short tempers, flare ups, rudeness from the public and from co workers. You always had to remember that you were dealing with people's only means of support and handle each one with the care and attention they deserved.
