Mostly alright with a few bad experiences - Network Engineer Socket Telecom Employee Review

Atmosphere not conducive to excel. I was fired for clocking in 10 min early no warning at all. I loved my job as a service provisoner and all the exposure to lan and wan technologies. Training really really sucks. HR dept is a joke. More interested in making sure u eat some fruit than making sure they get qualified applicants. Was threatened sevral times byby one of the employees reported it and nothing happened even though they have a zero tolerance policy. Turnover rate is very high and if your not one of the good ol boys your screwed. I was there for over a year closed more tasks than any of my dept consistantly.I always lended a hand to other depts and taught all new employees in my dept the inns and outs of how to do everything because i know how much it sucked for me being left to figure it out when i started.was even nominated for employee of the month 2 months ago.clocked in 10min early on a monday because i didnt think it was a problem better than late. They waited until the day before 4th of july to fire me at the end of the workday. They lost a loyal,knowledgeable with 18 years of networking experince for clocking in ten min before a scheduled shift. Not to mention its required u stay past your shift if they ask u to which i did many times everyday of the week especially on fridays. Theyre clock in and out system is setup to take 15 min from u or give u 7 min if its 6 after or before your clock in time which is a ripoff ive been screwed for ot hours that way. But generally its up to you if u want to apply here. Dont say u weren't warned.
