Pros

Good compensation. Excellent co-workers. Unlimited PTO. Good healthcare options.

Cons

Toxic leadership with little to no plan for the future. Everyday you come to work there will be a new fire to deal with, this is exciting at first, but quickly becomes tiresome, until eventually you burn out and leave, or you resign yourself to "this is just how Socure works". The long term plan is obviously to "make money" (really to make a few people even wealthier), but it's a bit like that South Park episode with the underwear gnomes: steal underwear, ... , profit! Well Socure is perpetually in that "..." phase, so every month, sometimes everyday, there is a new "omg we have to get this done now" project, where you drop everything you were working on to work on this new thing. After a little bit of this, you look back and realize you've never been able to complete anything (at least not well), and that most of your time has been spent in meetings, or figuring out how to slap some solution together really fast, and inevitably what to do with this steaming pile you have helped create and are now expected to support in-perpetuity.

Pros

One of the highest-performing companies I've ever worked for. There is a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and winning, with teams genuinely supporting one another to achieve shared goals. The company provides tremendous opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and you're surrounded by talented people who challenge you to continuously improve and succeed.

Cons

The same qualities that make this a great place to work may not be for everyone. Success here requires a high degree of ownership, initiative, and self-motivation. This is not an environment for passive contributors; you are expected to lead, solve problems, drive outcomes, and proactively navigate obstacles. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and there is a constant sense of urgency around execution and winning. While you have the resources and support of a larger organization, you're expected to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset and run your area of responsibility like it's your own business.
