Pros

Car, Company Vision, Office Workers, and installers.

Cons

If you are a middle to veteran outside sales person, WALK away! Especially if you have a decent job and making good money. They promise a lot to get you on board but you will be living off of $30k annual salary until your commissions rolls in 3-4 months later. The $100 per sign contract is all hype as most contracts fall through. I read these reviews before I said yes and got sucked into the hype and walked away from a really good job. If you want to make $50k+ your first year, your going to have to work at least 6 days. If you want to make more, say goodbye to your family. You will be working 6+days a week all day, nights plus weekends. They also are always changing the goals you need to reach in order not to get fired. This is a 100% churn and burn positions. They take great sales people, use them and their resources, and then higher a new fresh round of idiots. Trust, I was one of those fools. Most people that I started with are gone, including most of the managers. This should tell you something.

Pros

Just to quantify my review a bit, I am within the top 10% of inside sales reps within our 12,000 person company. It is a great place to work and people doing well ARE able to make good money here. The executive team ALWAYS has a platform for reps to help make SolarCity a better place every quarter. They involve the top 20 reps each quarter in various ways to help their peers through an interactive group called Team Elite. Executives, VP's, Directors, and Managers are always willing to help and go to bat when there are issues with things that need to be fixed. The direction of the company is consistent and although the company is large, decision makers work as hard as possible to steer the big ship quickly when necessary.

Cons

Knee jerk reactions with decision making at a director level create issues from time to time. Culture has had its ups and downs due to HUGE growth last year and subsequent high attrition rates.
