Pros

The pros are what most product companies have - flexible timing, good pay, free lunch and snacks and whatever most of todays product orgs have to offer. There is a good learning curve because of all the products they have, but only if you are willing to learn. Pay is good

Cons

Promotions and HQ visits are for people who baby sit their manager's kid and pass on news. There are undeserving people who got promoted more than 3 times during their short career only because they had the ability to pass information about what happens within remote teams to the boss and was friends with the managers child. They built a great product long ago and are still living in that old glory surviving on pushy sales and ads. The products have no innovation and are stuck in bygone era. Layoffs are the norm - you can get fired any time. I have seen good employees get fired for no reason! The top management is never reachable. They are just management whose strategies worked at some place, sometime in the past and are still living in that old glory. I have no idea why the rest of the top management is still there.

Pros

Amazing office space in Charlotte with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. There are plenty of social events and networking opportunities that help employees stay engaged and build relationships across different business units. The recent IT reorganization has created a unique opportunity to participate in system and process design initiatives. While this level of change and transformation may not appeal to everyone, it offers valuable experience for those who enjoy shaping new processes and driving organizational improvements. I am optimistic about the direction of the organization and confident in the vision and leadership of the new IT management team.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities can sometimes feel limited within a satellite office environment, and promotion paths are not always clearly defined. Employees seeking long-term growth may benefit from having proactive career development conversations with leadership. The recent IT reorganization has introduced a period of transition, resulting in some uncertainty and lower morale across parts of the organization. The department is currently in a rebuilding phase, and new employees should expect to contribute to the implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working. Compensation appears to be somewhat below market rates for certain roles, which may be a consideration for candidates prioritizing salary growth.
