Pros

Close proximity to Starbucks and free lunches

Cons

EVERYTHING! I worked for this company for 2+ yrs - there is no sense of direction, much less any sense of guidance. Solera seeks out the best employees it can employ to only destroy their confidence, their self-worth and deprive them of career growth. All to turn them into fearful employees. VISTA representatives, including C-Suite level, come in and taunt you with fear of losing your employment behaving as if this is the best company in your entire career. Not to mention their fear tactics of terminating you in the middle of a pandemic and over saturated market. In 2020, they terminated employees due to planned "reduction in force" in January and February of 2020. Instead of stopping in March (in the beginning of the pandemic) to calm fears and concerns related to Covid-19, they continued monthly "reduction in force", and as terminated associates (from contributors to leadership) they forced remaining employees to absorb additional work without pay increase or flexibility. To then, in July of 2020, state that due to the pandemic there would not be a merit increase nor full bonus. Into 2021, they resorted terminated associates for "poor performance" to avoid paying severance. When it comes to Time Off, do not think for a second that you earned time off - which you work for and have earned - will be honored/respected. If you ask for time off, you're likely to have your position eliminated; mind you, the very group terminating you will have 3 weeks of vacation booked and approved. If you have family/children or a LIFE outside of work, they turn around and insist that your role is a 24/7 job and must work/be available on weekends. They want your focus to solely be on Solera and their needs, even if it can wait until the next business day. Vista and Solera are NOT family friendly and are discriminatory towards Women and BIPOC. Vista leadership representatives at Solera parade themselves as minority friendly when they are NOT. As it relates to Covid-19 and how they have approached the pandemic: company went remote in very late March 2020 and attempted for force EVERYONE back to the office August 2020, unsuccessfully. They attempted to do so, again, in October 2020 and found themselves having to send out Covid-19 exposure and contact communication for 6 weeks straight. However, they purposely waited to send communication and advise of Covid-19 exposure and contact until Friday nights (between the hours of 7pm and 10pm) stating that everyone would be back in the office Monday after a weekend cleaning; never once caring that the exposure and contact could impact employee's health and employee's family's health. This was their unethical approach to remain open. If you've read this far, know two things: 1. Every 5 star review is falsified by the marketing team to boost ratings 2. Every management response does not go further than a comment here. I am thankful to no longer be associated with this company
