Pros
-Really cool challenges to solve
Cons
-You won't have resources or support to solve cool challenges -Fear culture -CEO is Vista employee and hates the company (and everyone in it) -Not customer centric -Not employee centric -Big brother software monitors every keystroke I could fill this with stories of how bad the culture is and how poorly they treat employees and customers...but it's all already on here. Bottom line, this company is run by bankers who only focus on EDITDA and rule through fear. They want everyone to be afraid...part of the culture. Take any one of the thousands of employees out for a drink and you will struggle to find more than a handful that really likes this place. It's a brutal and punishing culture. Solera (and many Vista companies) succeed in a grey space between what is legal and what is moral. It's unfortunate that PE firms can buy a reasonable company, cut headcount by 30%, intimidate people into making up the difference. They have some window dressing about "high performance" and "diversity"...but I have worked at several large respected companies and this is just the worst I have ever seen. There are opportunities here. Solera cannot retain or recruit people in this place, so there will be opportunities. Just make sure you go into this with the right mindset.
