Pros

Nice office space near the battery and some good coworkers. If you’re liked enough, survive a year, and drink the kool aid from upper management you’ll likely be able to get a promotion.

Cons

An absolutely terrible place to work. They prey on recent college graduates who are desperate to get their first job. I’ve seen less drama and been micromanaged less in third grade classrooms. More turnover than a bakery. Goalposts are constantly moving and management has it out for people they don’t like on day one. Even if you do well to start, it won’t be enough, you’ll be constantly expected to do more even when the market is bad and management can’t get deals. Speaking of deals, it’s almost impossible to get started. Limitations are put on you day one for what disciplines and states you can recruit in. Senior Account Executives have the majority of business locked up and their favorite account executives that they do business with, and good luck getting in that circle. What they won’t tell you is that you must successfully sign and start 3 placements in your first 90 days or you are fired, roughly only 50% of employees will meet this mark. Less than 10% will make it to a year. Over time if you preform well you will receive incentive perks such as flexing your schedule and WFH days. If your performance dips even the slightest bit, these incentives will be taken away from you. Lastly, the commission is a joke. When you start management will tell you about the people brining home $10-20,000 commission checks each month. While there are some people doing this, they are far outliers who have been there for over a decade, there’s less than 10 of them. You will be lucky if your first commission check is $20, and if you make it 6 months you may start to see checks around $60-$70.

Pros

Met some good friends and bonded over shared trauma

Cons

The salary is a misery, there are absolutely no incentives starting at 2% commission - for about a year, commission per month will be about $100 at the very best and yet they lie about first year OTE being about $15k. You’re also encouraged and expected to work over 40 hours a week even though there’s absolutely no incentives to do so and berated when you work what you should: The company has insanely high attrition and turnover rates. The majority of the company is under a year and actively trying to leave. One of their biggest problem is management; the majority of managers should not be in their positions. There’s a toxic culture of pettiness and arrogance. Do not expect to grow professionally at all-I was doing the exact same job as a manager who had been there for almost 10 years. Do not expect to feel supported or heard by any of the higher ups-they actively implements an alarming amount of changes without asking AEs first and then, when they don’t work, they make even more changes. Overall, if you can avoid working at this company, you should. It is a horrible place that preys on new graduates that have limited opportunities.
