No PTO- incredibly difficult when you're working in the schools DURING COVID
Mental Health is excluded in their health insurance- so we can provide services, but we basically can't get our own.
Speaking of mental health, their EAP is a joke....for mental health, it's, like a bunch of PDFs and a crisis line...which you can ALREADY reach for free without the EAP.
Health care isn't great, but I guess they at least provide it at low cost.
If you're in the schools, you don't get paid during breaks like everybody else does.
Even after your contract, they force the district you're working for to buy you out if you continue working there. I ended up not staying, because my school said I'd have to stay 3 years OR pay part of the buyout fee.
