Pros
Great pay, flexible scheduling... It's for a great cause, and you feel like you're really making a difference.
Cons
You're expected to train yourself after about a month, relying on coworkers assistance when there are only a few other people on your shift. With no trainer, the whole team is your boss, and with everyone doing things slightly differently, it's hard to get a feel of how to do things correctly while also not feeling overwhelmed and nitpicked for small discretions. There are either 10 or 12 hour shifts, with only one 30 minute break. The Donor Referral Center is the rollover call center for the entire company, and there are anywhere from 20-30 tasks you're expected to master, with anywhere from 3-5 people on a shift.
