Pros

The people who work here are wonderful people. They are caring, passionate about the Somatic approach to trauma healing, and will try to make you feel welcome, although it is often in misguided ways. The pay is above average for customer service reps. The benefits package is extremely generous. Flexible working arrangements (such as work from home) makes it easy to adapt to real life.

Cons

The entire organization is in shambles. Over the last 18 years, they have had 15 Executive directors. There is no structural organization. Every proceedure is inefficient. The management is non-existant. The Directors are completely disconnected from the every day workers. They recognize the issues in their systems and yet will not take steps to make changes. Employees at every level claim they do not know their own roles within the organization. Roles and responsibilities change frequently, and often without notice or training, and sometimes without consent of the employees.

Pros

Fully remote! Work-life balance in the form of extremely generous PTO, 14 flex holidays, and additional sick time. I feel trusted and valued as a staff member. Empathetic colleagues all around. Opportunity to work with people from several regions of the US and even abroad.

Cons

Due to financial constraints, technology upgrades are slow and years apart. Due to turnover in the past few years, a cohesive culture has yet to be established. Morale is still recovering from layoffs at the beginning of the year. IRA plan and educational assistance on hold.

Pros

Completely remote work with lots of PTO and decent benefits

Cons

Horribly mismanaged, pay inequity between instructors and staff members, leadership who doesn't know how to run a nonprofit.
