Pros

Coworkers are friendly, health benefits are good/ low cost

Cons

Somatus is a case management company that services patients with a high social needs yet the company insists on hiring more RNs and not more social workers. Daily task lists are over 100 for some with no help coming. All professions are overworked and overwhelmed as in addition to the caseload, they insist on making you attend multiple meetings that benefit no one and take up your time to work. Everyone is stressed and ready to quit. Clients don’t know who we are and get frustrated with our frequency of calls. If you need to take PTO it’s accrued and they only offer three weeks for entire year. No separate sick leave oh and no one is available to cover if you’re a social worker. One employee was hospitalized with a medical condition as she was so stressed from the job. Management did not acknowledge her absence nor show support.

Pros

Literally just the mileage checks.

Cons

Constant layoffs, 3 since I’ve been here for 2 years. Mangement doesn’t care about you or your home life. They want metrics and numbers. You harass people all day even when they’ve declined to verify hipaa and services. They have a whole department for these calls yet leave it to the PHAs on top of their daily work. Even when members say no, they make you harass them again in a few months so they can decline again, leading to getting cussed out and abused by these members. They have no communication with procedure changes and policies. They change every week. You find out until you’re audited. They assign you new regions or other people regions without notice. You go from a manageable panel to a ridiculous amount of patients and they still want you to travel 5/10x a week.
