Pros

The receptionist, security are nice and a comfortable office

Cons

You're just seen as another intern, people didn't even bother to learn my name or talk to me even when I tried to start conversations. An internship should give you practical skills, workplace experience and greater knowledge of that industry. After spending 4 weeks there I felt like I developed none of those skill, which is a shame because I was looking forward to this as it was my first ever internship. Only talking about my own experience as an intern, I didn't enjoy my time there but I know there are some great people who are a part of Somethin' Else making great stuff.

Pros

The work itself is the main draw here. You get to work on truly amazing projects with a collaborative and positive team. The people are genuinely great to work with and are willing to help you learn and grow.

Cons

The main frustrations centre on compensation and a lack of fair opportunity. The salary is on the low side for the amount of work and responsibility. Furthermore, there's an "in-group" mentality at the senior management level; if you're not part of that circle, your contributions may be overlooked. While the company has improved its diversity in recent years, it still had a way to go.
