Pros

Friendly coworkers Most people were friendly/willing to help

Cons

I'm somewhat convinced the people giving top reviews never worked here, the president was very rude and disrespectful. The management was chaotic and I felt anxious every time I had to login. I was barely even here though as I got let go pretty quickly along with 3 or 4 other new hires. Surprisingly I was relieved to get let go as I absolutely hated this job. I'm not the best at graphic design but I'm not the worst either, as I did pass the 2 hour test thing I had to take before hiring me. Management barely helped me figure out my payments too when I had problems getting paid. Bottom line don't work here.

Pros

My experience working with Sonata has been outstanding. It's felt great to be a part of a team with a high level of expertise, producing high quality work together. Each project presented a unique challenge, which gave me the opportunity to keep learning and improving for the entirety of my tenure here. The head of the company is very supportive and invested in helping employees develop as individuals and work together as members of a team. Nothing but good things to say about this organization and the people here. If you're interested in a work environment where you'll be presented with interesting, challenging work, and supported through those challenges, this would be a great place for you to wind up.

Cons

You may find yourself switching from em-dashes to hyphens to match the house style.

Pros

Great coworkers and lots of hands-on with unique project

Cons

Angry and chaotic president with serious interpersonal issues. They will gaslight you by implying their high turnover rate is due to having to let go of subpar employees - but that is just not the case. People quit. I was very naive when I started working here and had little idea of what to expect from a work environment. Thought feeling a pit in my stomach every time I talked to a manager was normal. Thought it really was my fault if I made a mistake, even with almost no training or guidance. Thought it was normal to be made to feel like an idiot all the time. I realized I needed to quit mentioned to my friends that I got yelled at almost once a week and they looked at me like I had two heads. Their outside perspective helped me see how incredibly offensive and abusive that enviornment was. A year later, I'm still amazed every time my current boss says something kind to me about my work, or offers helpful suggestions instead of insults when I make a mistake. I had gotten so used to the toxic environment so quickly because I was young and inexperienced. I guess you could say a pro is getting enough experience to get out of dodge. Not sure it was worth it though as I still sometimes have stress dreams about this job. Boss will act like he is some sort of maverick and only takes the best, but really he is too volatile and angry and unprofessional to work at a real company. I feel genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of long term employees there who I saw just take his vitriol time and time again.
