Pros

- teammates who really care about each other and work hard to be better (themselves and collectively). - the work and our mission is exciting. We're building digital offices so people can live anywhere in the world, be with their families, and live the lives they want to live. - hard problems to solve. - new opportunities all the time because we're a growing company. A culture that pushes (but still supports) you to be a better person every day. - leadership that actually cares, listens, and solves problems.

Cons

- it's harder to work in some timezones without missing out or not getting as much collaboration or information. - The pace of new information and change is very fast, so if that's not for you then this would be a con. - Sophya expects a lot from each teammate. Everyone is expected to grow every single day and take personal responsibility (and not blame or complain). This is different than lots of places, so is a con if you don't want this. - startups are hard. There are days where I work long hours, sometimes I have to throw work away, sometimes I don't have much information. Roles change a lot and it hurts to let go of things or see someone else take on what you used to love to do. Leadership and team always provide support, but you still have to face it constantly.

Pros

-work from anywhere -flexible, relatively understanding managers -fast-paced (if you like that environment)

Cons

-expect you to work on weekends or late nights (whatever the company wants, last minute) -culture issues (e.g. lack of transparency in financial situation & funding, no Diversity & Inclusion efforts, frequent false promises, feels like you can't be honest about company problems for fear of retaliation, company culture & values are not as stated in their recruiting process) -seemingly disorganized/confused leadership (product roadmap/plans/goals change frequently) -lack of growth opportunities (seems like many people get pigeonholed) -low compensation (compared to other companies) -nepotistic (most hires are friends of senior leadership)
