Pros
I recently wrapped up an amazing year working at Sortlist, and I feel like it's time to share my experience for those who might be considering joining the team, especially on a DevOps role. While I'm moving on to join some friends at another company, making the decision to leave Sortlist wasn't an easy one. First off, the salary is competitive, which is always a plus. But what really made my time at Sortlist stand out was the fantastic atmosphere. The people there are friendly and supportive, making every day enjoyable. The remote working policy is great, allowing up to 3 days of home working. As for the tech side of things, Sortlist is rocking some seriously cool infrastructure (of course, I worked on it! 😎). They use the latest and greatest technologies on the market: AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. This not only made my work more interesting, but also provided me with valuable skills and experience that I'll carry into my next role. One of the most exciting aspects of working at Sortlist is that the company is in a period of rapid growth. They're currently undergoing some big changes to their business model, which means there are tons of interesting challenges to tackle. It's a great place to be if you want to learn and grow in your career.
Cons
I can't recommend Sortlist enough for anyone looking for an exciting and rewarding job opportunity. It's a bittersweet goodbye for me, but I'm confident that Sortlist will continue to thrive and create even more opportunities for new candidates to shine. If you get the chance to join the team, don't hesitate! I truly believe you'll have a memorable and fulfilling experience, just like I did.
