Pros
Being an instructor has been the most rewarding job I have ever worked. The ability to impact people's lives on a daily basis is unrivaled. As an instructor, you have extreme flexibility in your schedule, and the ability to do it full-time or part-time is wonderful. The company offers a full range of benefits and the pay is excellent when taking into account the Fitness and Group Exercise industry as a whole.
Cons
While it was probably once possible to live a decent life and instruct full time, that really is no longer the case. especially in cities with higher costs of living. It can also be very hard on your body to work the number of classes required to reach full-time status. At the end of the day, this is a corporation, and while they do want to have an impact on the lives of their riders, it's a brand, and the brand will come first. This isn't so much of a con, as it is a reality. Company decisions are more easily ingested when taking this into account.
