      Pros

      Similar to other companies, SBS provides bonus rewards, pay raises, social activities, suggestions, charity events, thank you meals etc etc….. If you consider your job a job then this alone should satisfy you. If however, you step beyond considering a position with Source BioScience “a job” and want to make a contribution, creating a career, Source BioScience will support you. Working hard, submitting ideas, having ambition, developing, suggestions will all be encouraged and supported within Source BioScience. I have put a lot of work into this company and believe I have helped develop it. I have been offered other positions with large international organisations. I declined all. From a bench scientist to manager, I can say that there is a lot to be said for a company who trusts and listens to it`s employees and does not box them up, rather it supports them. It actually creates something to be proud of. That is something many companies cannot provide.

      Cons

      Every company has cons, continuous improvement is key. Many companies shut down employees for criticism. I think most importantly with Source BioScience cons are not something it is afraid of acknowledging and improving. Any con is an idea for improvement which will be heard.

      To the author of this review, thank you. It has been just over 18 months since SBS 2.0 took hold of the business and in this time we have carried out a complete review of the business, its strengths of service and staff are the very core of all the work we do. Whilst difficult decisions continue to be made, there has been a clear decision to move this business forward and for the staff to be instrumental in this development of the company. Your comments provide our CEO, myself and the entire management team some belief that the changes we are trying to make are being felt across the business. With a clear business plan, the ability to make sensible business decisions and offer support and an open forum, these successes are now being seen in our chosen growth areas. Organic growth has been the core of our activities this year and for every service stream that is complemented with a sales and operational team, coupled with the support of the remaining groups int he business, we have seen that organic growth that evaded us before March 2017. Thank you again for your comments we, all, will continue to push this company forward.

      Pros

      The only pro I can think of is that I was based in the US and only had to deal with the utter toxicity of senior management in punctuated moments when they visited. The new CEO does actually seem to be a positive change. I couldn't hang around long enough to find out, but he did have a lot of positive effects prior to my leaving. If you compare the benefits, salaries, leadership, competencies, quality of services to that of other similar companies, there really aren't any 'pros' to talk of.

      Cons

      A particular director that is so incredibly narcissistic, incompetent, toxic, belittling, and incapable of leading one person let alone a team. This person has done so much to harm the morale and attitude of the company, I would venture to say the downfall of this company (which is inevitable) rests mostly on his shoulders. There is no respect for the commercial management, yet they demand it openly. There was never the slightest bit of guidance or wisdom offered from those in positions of authority. Just about everyone in the company speaks so poorly of the commercial management at Source, it's almost comical. What else... There is zero focus on what the company actually wants to accomplish. The services offered are just commodities and the technologies used are very outdated.

      Thank you for your comments, I am glad to say that under new management and a more open and free forum, all current directors and managers are allowed to do the jobs they have been employed for. I apologise for your experience with the company being so poor, it has taken our new owners to allow focus on the growth of our USA business although interestingly, it was the commercial management team pushing the previous senior management to invest in this group. It is sad that you have not had the best of experiences but now with the investment and opportunity available to us all, we are certainly able to address the issues you have raised to work towards a more positive outlook for our USA employees.

      Pros

      ´At will´ agreement. Good fellow trapped workers.

      Cons

      They will make your work odd shifts without regret or care or accommodation. No gratitude / compensation for any extra work. You could be working in research field and could be assigned a marketing sales task across the country, without even bothering about your convenience. Your salary is a joke. Christmas bonus is a luncheon because you sacrifice for the company. (yes you get that answer). Horrible behaviour and disrespectful environment. Background check a company before you get hired. Short term employment will harm you more than the company. If you still accept their employment, you asked for it!
