Thanks for your comment. Expectations comes in both ways. Work pressure will come in any form in any companies, whether big or small (i.e. startup). What is important is the expectation of the person and the kind of work pressure one can take in order to grow in terms of career. As the common saying goes, "when the going gets tough, the tough gets getting". In the startup world, things are going to be competitive and tough. No successful company gets there by being in a relaxed and comfortable pace. However, we understand your concern and appreciate your candid feedback, we wish you the best.

Pros

- Hearing and speaking a little Mandarin every day - Freedom to structure reports the way I thought made the most sense - Networked with young entrepreneurs and small business owners in Singapore - The research required to complete reports gave me a crash course in fintech, cross-border payments and B2B marketplaces that seem to be a growing market in SE Asia - CEO was flexible with internship projects and time off - Exposure to completely different work cultures other than my own

Cons

- Not really a con but if you are unfamiliar with Singapore's bustling work culture, you must complete your due diligence before interning with this company.
